Eating Disorder Care Team”, presented by Helen Dean, Accredited Practising Dietitian, Counsellor and Family Based Therapist.

What is the role of a dietitian on the ED team? What nutritional requirements are needed at different phases of recovery? How are uncomfortable physical and emotional symptoms managed? How can caregivers assist with meal support? What physical signs do we need to look out for to keep our loved ones safe? How do we know when to escalate crisis care?

Helen Dean is a counsellor, accredited practising dietitian and family-based therapist with over 20 years experience.

She specialises in working with children and adolescents with eating disorders, including AN; BN; BED; ARFID and OSFED); disordered eating, and body image issues.

Helen also enjoys working with adolescents presenting with depression, anxiety, and trauma to help them create a more fulfilling and balanced life.
