Carers, be a part of the 2025 Body Image and Eating Disorders Awareness Week (BIEDAW) campaign this September

Hope underpins everything EDFA does. We believe that even in the most challenging moments, hope can be a lifeline, and it’s often found in the shared wisdom and courage of other carers.

That’s why for Body Image and Eating Disorders Awareness Week (BIEDAW) 2025, EDFA is highlighting eating disorder carers with a collage of short voice recordings and photos from carers with the lived experience of walking alongside a loved one with an eating disorder.

We want to provide other eating disorder carers with a message of hope, wisdom, and encouragement for others who are still going through the trenches.

Carers, we invite you to share a short voice recording (30-45 seconds) with your reflection and insights, plus a photo of yourself:
💬 What gives you hope in your carer journey?
💬 What do you wish you’d known when it all began?
💬 What would you say to another carer who might still be in the trenches?

We’d be so grateful to hear from your experience, no matter where you are in the recovery journey. Help us provide hope to others who need it most.
