Support Group for male carers
EDFA has introduced a national online strive4Men Carer Support Group, for any male (or anyone who identifies as male) who is caring for an individual with an eating disorder and would like to connect with other Dads, partners, siblings, to share learnings and create community in a safe space with other men who are experiencing the often isolating journey of caring for someone with an eating disorder.
strive4Men aims to:
- Provide a safe, supportive place for male carers to meet in a semi-structured environment which allows for both knowledge sharing and peer support
- Provide information and resources to assist males who are carers to understand eating disorders and their integral role in recovery
- Encourage empowerment of carers in their role in the recovery of the person with the eating disorde

strive4Men is facilitated by Men for Men.
Facilitators are trained volunteer carers of individuals with eating disorders.
To attend strive carer support groups, parents and carers are encouraged to be members of EDFA.
The Zoom link is available to EDFA members logged into the website here.
