Eating Disorders Families Australia is the only national organisation providing support, education, advocacy, and counselling solely to families and carers of those living with an eating disorder.
All of our services are online and can be accessed anywhere in Australia.
Free support for all eating disorder carers:
Online Carer Support Groups
Connect with other adult eating disorder carers (age 18+).
Dedicated groups are available for specific diagnoses (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder – ARFID, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder) or types of carers (siblings, partners, grandparents).

Fill The Gap Online Counselling Service
One-on-one individual counselling for anyone aged 10+ years supporting someone with an eating disorder or disordered eating.
Sessions are provided by professional counsellors who have lived experience as eating disorder carers. Counselling sessions can help you by providing knowledge, skills and strategies to support your loved one’s recovery and to maintain your own wellbeing through this journey. No referral is needed, you can access as many sessions as you need and there is no waitlist.
